Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued on Tuesday a Royal pardon to a number of prisoners convicted of different cases.
They included 217 inmates, 101 of them are foreigners.
The Royal pardon coincides with the occasion of Eid Al Adha, and in consideration of families of the prisoners.
