Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday issued Royal Decree No 43/2023 on the ratification of an agreement between the governments of the Sultanate of Oman and the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The decree deals with the elimination of double taxation for income tax, as well as the prevention and avoidance of tax evasion, signed in Cairo on My 22, 2023—after presenting the same before the Shura Council.
It reads as follows:
Article (1) ratifies the above-mentioned agreement in accordance with the version attached to this decree.
Article (2) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and takes effect from its date of issue.
