The last edition of the Asian Senior Beach Volleyball Championship was hosted in Bandar Abbas, Iran in 2022 and the Qatari duo Cherif Younousse and Ahmed Tijan were crowned the champions. Qataris are in good shape to defend their title as both of them picked up silver earlier this month at the Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Moreover, Qatar’s pair are bronze medalists at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Oman's Al Hashmi and Al Jalbobi ended the last edition of the Asian event in fifth place.
