When is Eid-al-Adha expected in Oman?

Muscat: The main committee for sighting the crescent for the month of Dhul-Hijjah for the year 1444 AH will meet today evening at the Ministry of Awqaf and Religious Affairs.


If the moon is sighted today (Sunday), the first day of Dhul-Hijjah will be Monday, June 19 and Tuesday, June 27, will be the day of Arafah and the Eid Al-Adha will be on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.


If the moon is not sighted today, the first day of Dhul-Hijjah will be Tuesday, June 20 Wednesday and June 28, will be the day of Arafah and the Eid Al-Adha will be on Thursday, June 29, 2023.


Meanwhile, The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs called on citizens and residents to report the sighting of the crescent, in cooperation with field teams in the states, or to communicate with sub-committees in the offices of their excellencies the governors.
