ROP urges all travelers to follow customs regulations

Muscat: Royal Oman Police (ROP) has urged travelers (air and land) to take note of the customs regulations while leaving or entering the Sultanate.


In a statement, ROP said, "While entering or leaving the border points of the Sultanate of Oman the traveler must declare Customs if they are carrying currencies (cash) exceeding RO6,000 or its equivalent, negotiable financial instruments to be exchanged cheques, bonds, shares, and payment orders, precious metals like gold, diamonds, and gemstones, etc."


The rule applies to individuals, companies, and institutions and non-declaration may expos to legal accountability.
