

Qais bin Mohammed al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, held a high-level meeting on Monday, June 12, with the British Minister of Foreign Trade, Nigel Huddleston. The meeting, which took place in the presence of Dr Saleh bin Said Masan, Under-Secretary for Trade and Industry, aimed to strengthen bilateral trade and investment relations between the two countries.
The discussions focused on exploring opportunities to enhance joint investment cooperation and stimulate direct investment in various sectors and investment activities. Both sides highlighted the importance of complying with the laws and regulations of their respective countries to ensure a mutually beneficial environment for investment.
Notably, the United Kingdom's direct foreign investment accounts for an impressive 51 per cent of the total foreign direct investment in Oman. This demonstrates the substantial confidence and trust placed by British investors in Oman’s business landscape.
