WORK hard today, so you can enjoy it later! Many of us are raised with this notion till one fine day we realise that a huge fraction of life has gone by and we never enjoyed life in its organic form.
Working hard is not discouraged but brushing the little joys in the hustle of moving forward is not a good deal either.
We deposit happiness to withdraw later as now is not the right time to relish even if it feels like it. Why not enjoy the moments with whatever means we all possess? The little joys of life make the most cherishable memories of one’s life making it more meaningful.
To begin with, in the student’s life that marks the journey towards one career path, there had been instances loud and clear where they are pressured to a point that they break in.
Why studies or better to say learning becomes a burden on our youth? Are we as a society taking away from them the joy of life on the presumption of having fun later?
Why not instill the theory of balancing studies with whatever else brings happiness in their lives?
As once begun, this chain of pressure never stops in life. Challenges and pressures come in all shapes and sizes and to everyone. In this world, no one is spared from the harsh reality of life. But that should not take away the joyous parts that provide the strength to bear and go through all such ordeals.
Always make out time how little that can be to pursue what you love, and to spend time with whom you love and you’ll find yourself finding your way through all such hardships.
One need not possess an enormous bank balance to find happiness. Yes, I agree; money does simplify things in life but it can never become a criterion to guarantee happiness.
As we leap from student life to a job life or a business life, we become more immersed in work, we don’t know when our small joys left behind in the rat race of this world. The race will never stop, you need to know your priorities to secure your little moments of joy.
Life is always lived splendidly with small stacking bricks of joy and contentment. Celebrate your accomplishments however little that can be; hang out with those who add value to your life, sit and spend time with those who take away the burden of your challenges and make you feel worthwhile, watch a movie or series together with a spouse or friend, go on a day trip with your folks and so much more that adds joy in the thread of fleeting life.
So that one fine day when you sit back and flip through the pages of life lived you appreciate that the joy of small things is truly rewarding.
