Muscat: With cyclone Biparjoy moving north-northwest, Oman Meteorology has cautioned sea goers not to venture into the sea and not to involve in water activities as the sea status is expected to be rough (3-6) meters along the coastal strip of the Arabian Sea, starting from Friday, June 9 and for the next three days.

On the other side, the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources (MAFWR) has, also, called on fishermen not to go to sea or fishing during this period to avoid any possible developments of the tropical cyclone.

Fishermen are urged to take required safety precautions and to tow their boats to the safest sites, the ministry reiterated.
