BankDhofar expands branch network in South Al Sharqiya Governorate

MUSCAT: Reinforcing its expansion strategy, BankDhofar has recently announced the official opening of three more branches in South Al Sharqiya Governorate; which are Sur branch, Al Ashkhara branch and Masirah branch. This step translates BankDhofar’s endeavour to be closer to customers across the Sultanate of Oman, and provide them with the best banking experience.


The opening ceremonies were held in the presence of a number of prominent members of the society and BankDhofar executive management team. Sur branch was officially opened under the patronage of Dr Yaha Badr al Maawali – Governor of South Al Sharqiya, Al Ashkhara branch was opened under the auspices of Shaikh Nayef Hamoud al Maamari- Deputi Wali of Jaalan Bani Bu Ali, while Masirah branch was opened under the auspices of Shaikh Abdul Hameed al Abri – Deputi Wali of Masirah.


On this milestone of its branch network expansion efforts, Amjad Iqbal al Lawati, Chief Retail Banking Officer at BankDhofar, stressed that the opening of these branches in South Al Sharqiya Governorate is part of a broader strategy to grow BankDhofar’s presence across the country. “The new branches will offer a range of banking services to customers. We will continue our efforts to get closer to our customers and open more branches.” He added.


BankDhofar has a nationwide network of 92 branches (including BankDhofar and Maisarah branches) & 2 Corporate branches. The branches are in prime locations and are easily accessible, offering a wide range of services to customers.
