Tennis aficionados in Muscat are waiting with bated breath for Saturday when Team Oman and Team India meet each other in the final of the Nations Cup Tennis tournament to be held at the Diplomatic Club at 6 pm.
The Nations Cup is an annual team championship conducted by Diplomatic Club Oman and as many as 12 teams representing respective nations took part in the tournament this year.
The teams were divided into 4 groups of three teams each. The top teams in each group qualified for the semifinal stage. India, Russia, Oman, and Oman-DC reached the semifinals.
India defeated Oman-DC 2-0 in the semis. Shlok defeated Drar 9-8 and Shrikant defeated Mohammed 9-3.
In the other semifinal, Oman defeated Russia 2-0.
Wail won against Dennis 9-0 and Warith defeated Svetlana 9-4.
