MUSCAT: A derma scientific day event was conducted by Ego Pharmaceutical Company in Oman on May 19.

Dr Shibu Mohammed, a renowned consultant dermatologist from Bader al Samaa Hospital, delivered a presentation on sensitive skin and how to protect it from external factors.

The event aimed to provide dermatologists from various hospitals in the Sultanate of Oman with an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of different skin diseases.

Dr Shibu, drawing from his extensive experience in dermatology and the cosmetic field in Oman, explained how patients can protect their skin from external factors such as sunlight, dust, smoke, and prevent conditions like Atopic dermatitis, allergic contact dermatitis, photo dermatitis, and Rosacea through appropriate skincare and protective measures.

He emphasized the importance of using sunscreens and moisturizers regularly to shield the skin from sunlight-induced damage, particularly during summer conditions.

Furthermore, he also discussed various types of moisturizers that can help prevent extreme dryness of the skin.
