Muscat: The University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) on Sunday organized a meeting between Dr Mahad Said Baowain, Minister of Labour and UTAS students.
The meeting dealt with current and future work concepts, identifying the ministry’s role in the National Programme for Training Job Seekers, and employment in the public and private sectors.
The meeting focused on consolidating national policies and strategies to boost the labour market’s ability to attract investment, the national strategy for human resources development, the national workforce employment strategy and the implementation of specific programmes that promote employment initiatives.
