Muscat: Acting in cooperation with the Civil Aviation Authority and telecommunications service providers, the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) will conduct a real trial run of an early warning broadcast service via mobile phones in several wilayats of the governorates of South Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta, Muscat and Dhofar.
Sub-committees will be distributed in various locations in the wilayats to ensure that warning messages are received to all subscribers of Omani Telecommunications Company (Omantel) and Omani Qatari Company (Ooredoo) in the same wilayat.
