Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday issued Royal decree No (24/2023) on amending some provisions of the Law on Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
Article (1) stipulates that the amendments attached to the Law on Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances promulgated by Royal decree No (17/99) shall be applied.
Article (2) cancels all that contradicts the attached amendments or contravenes their provisions.
Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the official Gazette and enforced from the day following its date of publishing.
