MUSCAT: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology is rolling out a specialised IT training programme for Omani job seekers. Set to run from June 4 to November 23, 2023, the six-month programme aims to provide practical, cutting-edge knowledge and in-demand technological expertise to support the professional development of IT specialists.

The programme will focus on two areas — database management and cybersecurity — and is aimed at those looking to enhance their skills and stay competitive in the local and regional markets. It has two primary objectives: firstly, to equip participants with the necessary practical skills to succeed in their chosen fields and secondly, to connect them with top technological companies operating in the industry to gain experience and further develop their careers.

By providing practical, in-demand skills to those pursuing careers in the IT sector, the programme is expected to offer significant benefits to participants and help them compete more effectively in the market.
