Muscat: The State Council will hold its eighth session for the fourth session of the seventh term, chaired by Sheikh Abdul Malik bin Abdullah al Khalili, on Monday.

During the session, the Council will discuss the draft 'Labour Law' and 'Social Protection Law' and the views of the Economic Committee on these issues, in preparation for their submission to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik.

The Majlis A' Shura had earlier referred amendments to the draft labor law, which was referred by the government to the State Council.

The Shura had discussed amendments and additions to some articles in a manner that guarantees the worker’s rights.
