Doha: Shaikh Tamim bin Hamad al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar received at Lusail Palace in Doha this evening Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
During the meeting, Sayyid Badr conveyed greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik along with best wishes to Shaikh Tamim, and permanent growth and prosperity to the Qatari people, wishing the relations between the two countries further progress.
On his turn, the Emir of Qatar expressed his greetings and utmost appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan. He also expressed his good wishes to His Majesty and the Omani people, wishing the relations between the two countries further progress and growth.
During the meeting, cordial conversations were exchanged. Emphasis was laid on fraternal ties between the two countries and the joint keenness to promote them in various spheres. Views were exchanged on matters of common interest particularly those pertaining to the GCC matter within the framework of the Sultanate of Oman’s chairing the GCC current session.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar and Najib bin Yahya Al Balushi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Qatar.
