ROP warns of a financial scam via social media

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has detected a new fraud committed through the application (IMO) using its logo.


The police indicated that the identifier targets residents in the Sultanate of Oman by deceiving them that they have committed a set of violations that they must settle by providing bank account data to withdraw money.


The Royal Oman Police advised citizens and residents not to disclose personal data or bank accounts through social media.
