The role of social media was discussed at a training workshop on 'Analysing social media platforms' on Wednesday.

The five-day workshop, organised by the Ministry of Information, concludes on Monday. The workshop saw broad participation of media people from various government units.

Anas Mohammed, Head of the Analysis Department at the Bahrain National Contact Centre and founder of the Bahrain Gate, gave a presentation which familiarised the participants who are responsible for the communication platforms of the various entities.

The workshop provided the participants with theoretical and practical aspects of social media.
