First privately-funded women and children’s speciality hospital launches in Suhar

Aman Healthcare Services SAOC, a healthcare sector focused private equity management vehicle of Oman Investment Corporation SAOC (OIC), has announced the launch of Saada Hospital - Oman’s specialised hospital for women and children – in Suhar.


After receiving a completion certificate from the Municipality and approval from the Ministry of Health (MOH), Saada Hospital opens its doors to provide much needed high-quality infrastructure and medical services to the Suhar and North Batinah community.


Kalat al Balushi, Chairman of Aman Healthcare and the Chief Executive Officer of OIC, stated: “I am pleased to announce the opening of Saada Hospital. I am extremely proud of the efforts put in by Saada Hospital’s executives and staff in obtaining the MOH certification and commissioning the operations in a record time, which enables us to offer our world-class facilities to improve healthcare delivery for women and children in our society,”

Saada Hospital is the unique and dedicated women and children hospital of its kind in Oman as its purpose-built state-of-the-art medical facilities over more than 10,000 square meters of built-up area opens with 32 inpatient rooms, 15 outpatient consultation rooms, nine modern labour delivery suites, three hi-tech operation theatres, a full-fledged emergency department, dedicated indoor and external kids play areas and a full range of NICU & ICU services.


Each inpatient room of Saada Hospital is designed to meet women and children’s requirements and local cultural needs with majlis to accommodate visiting family and friends.


Saada Hospital offers high-quality medical facilities with maternity, surgical gynaecology, paediatrics, neonatal intensive care (NICU), fetal medicine, and infertility services.


In addition, it offers normal and high-risk pregnancy care, ante-natal and post-natal care, breastfeeding support, and parenting education with its patient-centric approach.


Saada Hospital also provides general healthcare services such as Internal Medicine, ENT, Cosmetic Dermatology, General Surgery, and General and Paediatric Dentistry. Saada Hospital is Aman Healthcare’s first project, with plans for expansion in Muscat and other GCC countries.
