OJFA welcomes educationists from Tokyo University

MUSCAT: Recently, the Oman Japan Friendship Association welcomed a 6-member team of renowned educationists from Tokyo University, Japan. The visit is part of Oman and Japan celebrating close to 50 years of diplomatic ties.


The Oman Japan Friendship Association (OJFA), established in 1974, always strives to build and promote lasting bonds between the two nations in diverse fields like culture, society, economy, arts and science.


The Japanese visitors were impressed with Oman’s vast and diverse natural beauty. They even wholeheartedly appreciated Oman’s warm and welcoming hospitality offered to them, wherever they went. Accompanying them on their visits to various tourism sites in Oman and sharing interesting information about those sites, were professional guides from National Travel and Tourism (NTT) part of Saud Bahwan Group. The visitors praised the passionate efforts and professionalism displayed by the guides, rating the popular Travel & Tourism agency’s services, as being among the best.


During their visit here in Oman, the visitors visited Saud Bahwan Group’s Corporate Centre in Wattayah. Here they were welcomed by Abdullah Mohamed Bahwan, Managing Director – Corporate. On their visit, they obtained brief insights about the Group’s various business processes and operations.


During their 5-day stay in Oman, the Japanese visitors went around leisurely experiencing the beauty of Oman according to a detailed itinerary specially prepared by National Travel and Tourism (NTT) a division of Saud Bahwan Group. It included visits to the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, Opera House, National Museum, Muttrah Souq, Al Alam Palace, Jalani Fort and Sunset Cruise among others.


Sharing his thoughts Abdullah Mohamed Bahwan, Managing Director – Corporate, Saud Bahwan Group, said, “It is a delightful moment to host such renowned Japanese educationists as guests here in Oman. Their visit here reinforces the commitment of the Oman Japan Friendship Association to use every opportunity to strengthen the warm and inspiring relationship between Oman and Japan. For many years through specially planned events, people of Oman and Japan have had many opportunities to increase their interest in learning more about each nation’s rich heritage and culture. Thereby contributing towards building lasting bonds.”


Impressed with their experiences here in Oman, the visitors remarked, “It is indeed an absorbing and fascinating experience for us. We have always heard about this beautiful nation but only now have had the opportunity to visit and experience it thoroughly. We were specially delighted to receive such warm and welcoming hospitality which we learned was an age-old tradition of Oman. We are sure that, we will be coming back to experience more of Oman soon.”
