Muscat - The Ahad Foundation provided financial support to the Fak Kurba initiative of the Omani Lawyers Association, which will help in the release of a number of prisoners from all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman.
'Fak Kurab' initiative in its tenth edition is based on the slogan- "Because we believe a person deserves a second opportunity" - aimed at collecting financial donations to help release insolvent people imprisoned for accumulated debts. The initiative will run until May 16.
Since 2012, the initiative contributed to the release of 4,969 persons from various prisons.
