MoE approves GED first semester examination results

MUSCAT: Dr Madeeha bint Ahmed al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education, on Tuesday approved the results of the General Education Diploma (GED) first semester examinations for the academic year 2022-2023.


A total of 51,120 students sat the GED exams from the regular category achieving a success rate of 80.78 per cent. The GED for private bilingual schools achieved a success rate of 90.77 per cent out of 1,368 students. At the Royal Guard of Oman Technical College, 54 students sat the exams achieving a success rate of 100 per cent, the GED for Islamic sciences had a success rate of 98.26 per cent out of 115 whereas 62 students sat the exams from the GED for special education achieving a success rate of 90.16 per cent.


The results will be available from 3:00 pm next Thursday by sending an SMS containing the index number to 90200 via Omantel, Oreedoo and Vodafone. The results will be available later on Oman Educational Portal. — ONA
