Met predicts rain across governorates tonight

Muscat: Oman's Meteorology Office on Thursday said many governorates across the Sultanate of Oman will receive medium to heavy rains tonight.

"Thunderstorms accompanied by active downward winds, and hailstones will fall during the night in the governorates of Musandam, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah, and

parts of Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah, and North A’Shargiyah, with chances of wadis to overflow", the agency said in a statement.

Authorities urged motorists to exercise cation while driving in adverse weather conditions.
