‘Living consciously with self-acceptance and purpose’

The majority of us meander through life shadowing a framework of how to act and how to interact, which often eludes the improvement of our self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence.

As we are hard-wired to follow the path of least resistance, continually at the mercy of time restraints, continuously in the race to achieve more; this seldom brings contentment long term, only happiness short term.

We follow the recipe of what we have ‘always’ known, which produces the results we may not necessarily deem fulfilling.

Due to our curbed opinion that this is the way it has always been and how it always shall be, we prevent our brain neurons from forming new pathways.

They are in arrested development and in part no longer seek more than what has already been generated. We succumb to calling this our fate.

Just like a caged bird who has to accept its restricted potential to fly, it remains in its limited reality.

Total surrendering to its confined life, happy yet with a gnawing feeling of something bigger. Unlike that caged bird however, we have the abundant potential to open up our minds to so many different and challenging variables, that once enhanced will influence our lives in countless ways.

“Whether you think you can, or think you can’t – you’re right,” said Henry Ford. A closed mindset and a non-curious attitude to life will only ever inhibit you from achieving what you ultimately want. Living less in the past and the future, just concentrating on the moment to moment is pivotal to your success.

Living consciously is crucial to slowing down the pace of our hectic lives. Incredible to believe that human beings spend 95 per cent of their time on auto-pilot as most actions we take, our emotions and behaviours are led by the subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is constantly recalling the past and creating a future, so when we live more consciously, we become more focused and mindful of each and every second, utilising our five senses to fully engage and ground ourselves in the now.

Do you ever feel you are figuratively holding a beach ball underwater which can and will explode up at any given moment. We put most of our efforts into suppressing that potential sudden eruption, instead of focusing our energies on finding the hole to release out the air.

Living purposefully with clarity and vision is instrumental to understanding what we want out of life.

When we can turn our pain into purpose and our mess into a message, we are challenging the narrowed mindset and alternative thinking starts brewing.

Recognise that you have everything you need, know your ‘Y’ and take action today.

Look at the obstacles as signs paving the path of your growth. When we live in conscious alignment, honouring our self-acceptance, motivated by purpose and steered with personal integrity, guaranteed those wings will spread and you will soar.
