The final competition of the Oman Camel Racing Federation (OCRF) festival continued on its second day as part of its annual programme of the season 2022-23 at the Royal Camel Corps tracks in Barka.
On Monday, the 17th round for Lagaya category (3 years old) for 5 km was held for seven cars and two icons and cash prizes for the top ten.
In addition, there were two rounds for human riders (2 km) in the evening session.
‘Bashair’ owned by Dawood al Jahwari snatched the car and icon in the first round. In the second round, ‘Eftitah’ owned by Amer al Zaree came first to win the car and the icon.

During the morning session's first round, ‘Fnd’ for the Royal Camel Corp, coached by Hamad al Jedidi, won the top spot. ‘Hamloul’ owned by Sultan al Habsi, snatched first place in the second round, .
‘Al Asemah’ owned by Saud al Jabri came first in the third round. In the fourth round, ‘Al Shaklah’, owned by Butti al Maliki claimed the prize.
In the fifth round, ‘Al Hudaira’ owned by Mohammed al Jahafy won first place. As for the sixth round, ‘Saeb’ for Al Ghafeeq al Maliki won the top place.
The seventh round witnessed the victory of ‘Heba’ owned by Ali al Omairi, the first place in the eighth round was taken by ‘Tamoh’ owned by Abdullah al Ghufaili.
In the ninth round, ‘Manhaj’ won first place, owned by Saad al Owaisi.
‘Najed’, owned by Hamed al Wahaibi, was at the top of the tenth round.
In the 11th round, ‘Enjaz’ won first place owned by Hamad al Wahaibi. As for the 12th round, ‘Shajoun’, owned by Hamad al Dari won first place.
‘Thoq’ owned by Mansour al Wahaibi snatched the 13th round. In the 14th round, ‘Almoktabar’ owned by Salem al Madhushi came on top.
In the 15th round, ‘Sultanah’ came on top, owned by Dawood al Tabai. ‘Mashkorah’ claimed the 16th round, owned by Khadim al Shibli.
In the 17th round, ‘Alhather’ owned by Salem al Wahaibi came on top.
TODAY'S ACTION
On Tuesday, the competition will continue with three categories. ‘Al Ythaa’ for four-year-old
camels for 5 km with five cars and three icons as prizes for the first five rounds and cash prizes
for the rest of five rounds.
Two rounds are allocated for ‘Al Ythaa’ five years old for 6km with a car and an icon as rewards. Three rounds will be held in the ‘Al Hool’ category (6 years and above for 8 km) with a car and an icon as rewards.
