Oman welcomes the joint statement by Aqaba meeting

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman has welcomed a joint statement issued by the Aqaba meeting in #Jordan, which included Jordanian, Egyptian, Israeli, Palestinian, and US officials, the Foreign Ministry said.

Oman hopes that the understanding that took place will lead to de-escalation, and prevent the cycle of violence between Palestinian, and Israeli sides.

The Sultanate reiterates its unwavering stance towards the Palestinian cause by enabling the brotherly Palestinian people to obtain their legitimate rights and establish their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, a Foreign Ministry statement said.
