Royal Cavalry's 'Mutaqadem', 'Muthabir' win top places in UAE

Muscat: The Royal Court Affairs represented by Royal Cavalry won first place in two races in the United Arab Emirates.


'Mutaqadem' claimed the second round, which was devoted to purebred Arabian horses for a distance of 1,600 metres. The Royal Cavalry horse was led by jockey Ray Dawson and supervised by Ibrahim al Hadrami at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club track.


'Muthabir' came top in the third round, which was allocated to purebred Arabian horses for a distance of 2,000 metres. The Royal Cavalry horse was led by Ray Dawson and under the coaching of Ibrahim al Hadrami at Al Ain Equestrian Club track.


In the same race competition, Royal Cavalry's 'Al Thara'a' took the second place in the 10th race of the second round of the Al Ain Marathon (Endurance) for a distance of 4,100 metres. Ray Dawson rode Al Thara'a, trained by Ibrahim al Hadrami.



10 horses qualify for Dhofar race


On the other hand, Oman Equestrian Federation in cooperation with the Dhofar Equestrian Committee concluded the endurance race for a distance of 40 km on the shore of Khor Al Dahariz, with participation of 14 horses from Dhofar Governorate. The race was part of the federation’s schedule for the season 2022-23.


The round was given the red colour, where 10 horses were able to reach the end line and qualified with good health. The speed limit was 12 km/h, the maximum speed was 16 km/h and the maximum heart rate was 56 beats/min. The age of horses was stipulated at five years.
