Revenues of 3 to 5-star hotels in Oman up 83%

Muscat: Revenues of hotels 3 to 5-star star increased by 82.7 percent by the end of December 2022 to reach RO185,772,000, compared to the same period in 2021.


The number of guests in these hotels increased by 33.6 percent, while the occupancy rates grew 17.6 percent to reach 45 percent compared to 38.3 percent during the same period in 2021.


The number of guests from GCC grew 304 percent from 39,689 in 2021 to 160,340 at the end of December 2022, followed by European guests which grew 241.4 percent from 105,558 in 2021 to 360,339 in 2022 during the same period.


The number of American guests grew 165.4 percent to 60,148, while the number of Omani guests decreased by 14.1 percent to 699, 937 in 2022 from 814,518 in 2021.
