Oman participates in 42nd Session of Arab Women’s Committee

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, took part on Tuesday, via videoconferencing, in the tasks of the 42nd session of Arab Women's Committee, organized by the Arab League.


The meeting dealt with three topics: Following up the implementation of Women’s Development Agenda 2030, Women’s Agenda for Security and Peace and Women’s Empowerment through the cooperation of international and regional bodies concerned.


Oman also participated in a meeting held in preparation for the 67th UN session of Women’s Status Committee. The UN session is titled “Innovation, technological transition and education in the digital age to achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls”. It will be held in New York city from March 6-17, 2023.
