Oman participates in GCC Social Development Ministers meeting

Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development, on Monday took part in the meeting of GCC ministers of social development.


Oman’s delegation in the meeting was headed by HE Dr Laila Ahmed al Najjar, Minister of Social Development.


The meeting approved a decision of the GCC Supreme Council at its 41st session regarding the unified indicative system for empowering people with disability and the unified indicative system for social action.


The meeting also agreed that September 14 every year will be a day for the “Gulf Family” and approved the framework of observing that day.


The meeting was chaired by Ahmed Sulaiman al Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). Dr Nayef Falah al Hajraf, GCC Secretary General was present during the meeting.
