Over 2,000 sick leaves spent at MOH centers in 2021: NCSI

Muscat: The average of sick leaves spent in health institutions affiliated with the Ministry of Health in 2021 was over 2,000 (2,387) per day, according to National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).


There was an increase of 44 percent compared to the number of leaves taken in 2020.


The health statistics for the year 2021 said that the average number of outpatient visits per capita to MOH institutions in 2021 was 2.7 compared to 3.5 visits in 2017.


The average number of visits by Omanis per year is 4.4.


The outpatient visits to MOH health centers saw a decrease of up to 20 percent between 2017 and 2021, with North al Batinah Governorate topping the list by 19 percent in 2021.
