MUSCAT: The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) Oman Chapter announced that Khalil Nabhan Mohammed al Rawahi, has taken over as the president of ACFE Oman Chapter.
Khalil al Rawahi has been nominated as the president after serving ACFE Oman as the vice president and other capacities over the years. Khalil said, “our association objective is to develop the young Omani resources to contribute in achieving development goals and advancing sustainable economic growth and contribute to nation building of Sultanate of Oman”. The newly elected officer bearers took over from the present board from January 18, 2023.
The ACFE Oman Chapter is run by a Board of Directors consists of 9 elected Board members. The new Board members met recently and decided its office-bearers for 2023. Khalil Nabhan Mohammed al Rawahi, took over as President and other office bearers are Murad al Balushi as Vice-President, Prashant Bafna as Secretary, CA Ramananda Prabhu as Treasurer & Director-International relations, Jose Chacko, as Past President, Fathiya Al Maskari as Director-Training, Haitham Humeid al Raisi as Director-Membership, Hassan Ahmed as Director-Media & Technology and Salim al Mushaifri as Director-at-large.
Khalil al Rawahi, a Certified Fraud Examiner and professional accountant with ACCA, has more than two decades of experience in auditing and consulting and worked with big four accounting firms and also with State Audit Institution.
Khalil, after assuming charge as the president said, "We are building a world class board of directors and I'm pleased to welcome all new board members. Murad al Balushi brings deep expertise across finance, international accounting and regulatory compliance. He will be an essential member of the ACFE Oman Board team and we will draw on his vast experience as we create tremendous value for all of members and stakeholders across the globe."
