Muscat: The Sultanate will be affected by low-pressure or air troughs starting Tuesday until the end of the week.

It is expected that the northern governorates and the coasts of the Arabian Sea will be affected by rains of varying intensity, which will gradually increase during the coming days.

Low temperatures have been recorded in various governorates of the Sultanate, including -3.4°C in Jabel Shams, and 3.8 °C in Saiq on Saturday.

Muscat will have a maximum temperature of 23°C and a minimum temperature of 16°C Sohar and Sur will have temperatures in a similar range, while Salalah is also expected to have a drop in temperatures like in the northern parts of the country.

Oman Met has said that there are chances of isolated rain in the coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, Al Hajar Mountains, and Dhofar coast, with mainly clear skies over the rest of the governorates. A drop in temperature over most of the governorates.

There are chances of late night to early morning low clouds or fog over parts of the governorates of Al Wusta, Dhofar, and South al Sharqiyah.
