Salalah - The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources is building a flood protection system in the Wilayat of Salalah in the Dhofar Governorate, which will also store rain and flood water coming from the mountains and can be used at Salalah Port, Raysut Industrial City, and Salalah Free Zone.

One of the dams is located on the course of Wadi Adonab with a storage capacity of more than 83 million cubic meters of water, as it is the second largest dam in the Sultanate of Oman after Wadi Dayqah Dam in Muscat Governorate. The second dam is located on the course of Wadi Aanar in Raysut with a storage capacity of 16 million cubic meters of water.

The ministry is also developing side protection for the port of Salalah.
