NICOSIA: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cyprus last week held the third round of political consultations in the capital city of Nicosia. The session was chaired by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Diplomatic Affairs Under-Secretary at the Foreign Ministry and Kornelios Korneliou, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Cyprus.

On the sidelines of the session, the two ministries signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on cooperation in the fields of diplomatic studies and training. The MoU was inked by the two countries’ heads of delegations.

Al Harthy also held a meeting with Ioannis Kasoulides, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, on issues that serve bilateral relations between the two countries.
