Muscat: The Director General of Airports Security said the security and safety operations at airports are followed as per approved national and international standards to facilitate the movement of passengers to and from the Sultanate of Oman.
He said airport security has been equipped with the manpower and advanced systems that are compatible with the guidelines of the International Civil Aviation Organization due to the rise in the number of passengers expected during the coming years.
New technologies deployed by the General Administration of Airport Security include biometrics such as fingerprint and eye scanners, which are managed by a specialized technical team working around the clock to identify these systems.
