Muscat: Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) on Monday organized the Second international conference on economics and business administration themed "Promoting Innovative Industries for Sustainable Growth and Development".
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Abdulsalam Mohammed al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (OIA).
The two-day conference discusses important business issues from a global and local perspective. It also touches on challenges facing the business sector locally.
The conference seeks to present a platform for developing relations between the academic sector and the business sector to keep pace with the latest developments and the most prominent innovative solutions in the business world and in related areas of research.
The event covers a spectrum of topics, namely management, marketing, accounting, finance, economy, tourism, sustainability and political economy, among other topics.
