Muscat: Oman Meteorology has said that active northwest winds on Sunday and Monday will lead to rising dust in the desert and open areas - bringing down the temperatures in most governorates of the Sultanate.

Motorists have been warned to exercise caution due to low horizontal visibility and maintain a safe distance.

Waters are also expected to be rough with waves of 2-3 meters on the coasts of Musandam Governorate, the Arabian Sea, and the coasts of the Sea of Oman.

Oman Meteorology said that there are chances of rain in Musandam Governorate and the coasts of the Sea of Oman, especially the governorates (Muscat, Al Sharqiyah South, and Al Batinah South) and parts of the Hajar Mountains.
