Four agreements inked to serve people with disabilities

MUSCAT: The Ministry of Social Development on Tuesday signed four agreements with private sector establishments within the framework of their social responsibility initiatives. The agreements will serve people with disabilities.


The first agreement included providing maintenance services for the buildings of Al Aman Rehabilitation Centre of the Directorate General for People with Disabilities Affairs.


The second agreement deals with implementing training programmes in the companies for people with disabilities who are enrolled in the Ministry of Social Development’s Centre of Evaluation and Professional Training.


The two agreements were signed by Shaikh Rashid bin Ahmed al Shamsi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Abdulamalik bin Abdulkarim al Balushi, Chief People Officer of Asyad Group, and Eng Abdulaziz bin Said al Wahaibi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of National Construction Line Company.


The third and fourth agreements deal with implementing training programmes for people with disabilities who are enrolled in the Centre of Evaluation and Professional Training of the Ministry of Social Development.


Those agreements were signed by Hamoud bin Mardad al Shabibi, Director-General of People with Disabilities Affairs, Ibrahim bin Ali Awlad Thani, Head of Human Resources at Al Shanfri Trading and Furniture Company, and Abdulnasser bin Ali al Kharousi from Al Ginan Al Khadra Nursery. -- ONA
