The search is still continuing for Hameeda bint Hamood al Amri, a senior citizen who went missing from Izki on October 3.

Yusuf al Hadrami, her son, said on Friday, “More than 53 days have passed, but we have not lost hope of finding my mother.”

Abu Talal al Hamrani, a journalist, has announced a reward of RO 11,000 for anyone who provides information on the woman.

He said that it is impossible for a woman of this age to get lost or disappear for so long and the family should re-analyse the search methods.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) earlier clarified that the social media report of finding the missing woman in Izki is not true, and said this particular news is related to a previously reported incident.

ROP urged people who have information about her or her whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or the number 9999.
