Oman national football team concluded their second part of the preparatory camp in Al Ain by blanking Belarus 2-0 in an international friendly match on Sunday.

At Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain city, Salah al Yahyaei (78th minute) and Issam al Subhi (81st minute) scored the winning goals for the Red Warriors.

Al Yahyaei’s goal came after a perfect cross from Jameel al Yahmadi to Issam who assisted to Salah. Then, Salah hit the ball to the net. Next goal came after Al Subhi faced the rivals goalkeeper individually and looped the ball over him to score in style.

It was the first triumph for the Red Warriors in this camp as they performed valiantly to go down by 1-0 against four-time world champions Germany in Muscat last week.

Oman had put up a brilliant show against Germany and missed several scoring attempts.

After the warm-up gathering in Muscat, the technical staff assessed the level of players in Al Ain.

During the camp, Musab al Mamari was one of the new faces who made debut in the international friendly game against Germany. Both matches gave a clear picture for the coaching staff on the team’s current technical status and determine the weakness areas to be focused during forthcoming period ahead of the future assignments.

The main upcoming participation of the Red Warriors will be the Arabian Gulf Cup in Iraq’s Basra and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.
