Oman national chess team had concluded an internal preparatory camp at Al Saada Sports Complex in Salalah. The camp was for preparation to take part in the World Chess Olympiad, which will be held in India by end of July with participation of 190 countries.
As many as five players will represent the team including Salem al Omari from Masirah Club, Salem Shammas from al Nasr Club, Amer al Maashani, Hamoud al Busaidy and Mana al Kathiri from Salalah Club accompanied with the Russian coach Victor Komlyakov. The head coach of the team is Bashir al Qadimi from Yemen.
