Red Warriors to face Belarus in Al Ain city

Muscat: Oman national football team will face off Belarus team at Hazza bin Zayed Stadium in Al Ain city, UAE on Sunday in a friendly game. The match will kick off at 6 pm (Oman Time).


It will be the last warm-up game for the Red Warriors in this camp which started in Muscat on November 10 and run for ten days. The domestic camp featured the international friendly game against Germany which finished for the latter at 1-0 after a top display from Oman.


The Sultanate of Oman football delegation arrived in Al Ain city on the following day of the Germany match on Thursday. The team reported to the training sessions on Friday and had few training sessions under watchful eyes of the Croatian coach Branko Ivankovic. It is expected that the 68 years old will focus on the attacking side of the team as they missed a lot of scoring attempts in the previous friendly warm-up besides other areas.


The completed camp in Muscat and ongoing warm-up gathering in Al Ain is part of the team’s preparation for the Arabian Gulf Cup in Iraq’s Basra and the 2023 AFC Asian Cup. Belarus team, on the other side, are still in abroad camp in UAE. The team played against Syria on Thursday and they won the game by 1-0.
