Oman, China review bilateral relation

Muscat: An official session of talks was held here on Sunday between the Sultanate of Oman and the People's Republic of China.


During the session, the Omani side was headed by Shaikh Khalifa Ali al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Diplomatic Affairs, while the Chinese side was headed by Zhai Jun, Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East.


The two sides reviewed bilateral cooperation and ways of enhancing them. They also exchanged views on the Arab-Chinese summit, scheduled to be held next month in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), in addition to a set of regional and international issues of mutual interest.


The session was attended by officials from the Foreign Ministry, Li Lingping, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Sultanate of Oman and the delegation accompanying the guest.
