The Royal Opera House Muscat is delighted to announce the upcoming concert with Chris Botti. Botti is an American musician and trumpet player of astonishing renown.

Since the release in 2004 of his critically acclaimed album, When I Fall in Love, he has been hailed as the bestselling American instrumental artist of all time and counts Grammy awards, platinum and silver records to his name.

Performing worldwide and selling more than four million albums, Botti has developed a form of creative expression that is rooted in jazz but expands beyond that single genre and celebrates a blend of pop and balladic music. Over the past three decades, Botti has recorded and performed with top superstars such as Sting, Lady Gaga, Yo-Yo Ma, Paul Simon and Joshua Bell.

He has performed with many of the finest symphonies at the world’s most prestigious venues, from Carnegie Hall to Sydney Opera House and Teatro San Carlo in Naples. As a musician, he is difficult to classify, he is as happy improvising on a jazz number with a jazz legend such as Herbie Hancock, as he is riffing with Sting or performing classical tunes with Andrea Bocelli. Chris Botti has thoroughly established himself as one of the important, innovative figures of the contemporary music world.
