MANAMA: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain, held an official session of talks at Al Sakhir Palace in Manama on Monday.
At the outset of the session, the King of Bahrain reiterated his heartfelt welcome for His Majesty the Sultan as a dear guest of Bahrain and its people. He wished His Majesty the Sultan and his official delegation a happy stay. His Majesty the Sultan reciprocated the kind sentiments, thanking the King and people of Bahrain for the warm welcome and sincere hospitality.
The two leaders reviewed the distinguished relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain and expressed appreciation for their deep-rooted historical bonds. They also explored various aspects of the existing bilateral cooperation in all fields and contemplated ways of consolidating the joint interests in a manner that generates bounty and benefits to the two countries’ peoples.
The session of talks was attended from the Omani side by HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance; and Sayyid Faisal bin Hareb al Busaidy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It was also attended from the Bahraini side by Salman bin Hamad al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain; Shaikh Mohammed bin Issa bin Salman al Khalifa; Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa; Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa; Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad bin Issa al Khalifa; Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Salman al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Diwan; Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of Bahrain Defence Force; Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah bin Khalid al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure; Gen.
