HM to visit Bahrain on Monday

Two-day visit follows invite from King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will leave Oman for an official two-day visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Monday, according to a statement issued by the Diwan of Royal Court on Saturday.


The statement reads as follow: “In affirmation of the deep-rooted relations binding the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Bahrain and based on the keenness of the two countries’ leaderships to enhance joint ties, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will go on an official two-day visit to Bahrain with effect from Monday, October 24, 2022, in response to an invitation from King Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa of Bahrain. The visit will explore areas of the existing cooperation between the two countries in various spheres and means of promoting them to serve interests of the Omani and Bahraini peoples and meet their aspirations for further progress and prosperity.


During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan will be accompanied by a high-ranking delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Numani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad al Busaidy, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim al Habsi, Minister of Finance; and Sayyid Faisal bin Hareb al Busaidy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
