Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology have invited bids for the development, management, and operation of Dhalkut Port in the Governorate of Dhofar.

The fishing port in Wilayat Dhalkut contributes to the development of the fisheries sector in the state, and it is the only seaport in the western region of Dhofar.

It provides services to fishermen and sea enthusiasts and dramatically serves the people of Dhalkut and Rakhyut.

The Dhalkot port, inaugurated in 1998, is a vital and essential project in the state for two berths of the fishing port in Dalkot for fishermen. In addition to many necessary services that facilitate the fishing profession, the port also provided a factory for producing ice, cooling and freezing fish, filling fuel for fishermen's boats, and a fish market.
