HM’s greetings to Egyptian President conveyed

Cairo: Dr Abdullah Nasser al Harrasi, Minister of Information, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of the Arab Republic of Egypt.


The minister also conveyed His Majesty the Sultan’s wishes of good health to the president, and further progress to the Egyptian people.


This took place during President el-Sisi’s meeting with information ministers taking part in the Arab Information Ministers’ 52nd session held at Al Ittihadiya Palace at the Secretariat General of the Arab League in Cairo on Wednesday.


On his turn, President el-Sisi asked the minister to convey his greetings and best wishes of good health to His Majesty the Sultan, as well as his wishes of further prosperity to the Omani people.


During the meeting, President el-Sisi affirmed Egypt’s conviction in the strategic role of media in enhancing the efforts of Arab countries to achieve stability and development, notably by addressing national issues and deepening public awareness. President el-Sisi underscored “the shared challenges facing the Arab world”.


Dr Abdullah commended Egypt’s comprehensive development march led by President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.


During a speech he delivered at the event, the minister laid emphasis on the media’s significant role in portraying modern development. He called for developing the Arab media content so that it could reflect the strength of national entities and aspects of their stability.


Dr Abdullah stressed the importance of media in spreading appropriate concepts of the Islamic religion in a manner that promotes peace and stability, builds nations and spurs knowledge.
